–Peace is present here and now in everything we do and see. The question is whether or not we are in touch with it.
Sometimes our mind is thinking of one thing and our body is doing another, and our mind and body are not unified.
–Breathing in, I calm the body. Breathing out, I smile. Dwelling in the present moment, I know this is a wonderful moment.
Dwelling in the present moment, I sit here, I don’t think anything else. I sit here and know exactly where I am.
–Even the air we breathe can be a source of joy.
We can smile, breathe, walk, and eat our meals in a way that allow us to be in touch with the abundance of happiness that is available.
–Did you know a smile can relax 100 muscles in your face?
If we really know how to live, what better way to start the day than with a smile. Our smile affirms our awareness and determination to live in peace and joy.
–We are good at preparing to live, but not very good at living.
You only need to breathe consciously one or two times and you will recover your smile.
–Our breathing is the link between our mind and body.
Our appointment with life is the present moment.
–If we do not have peace and joy right now, when will we have peace and joy? What is preventing us from being happy now?
According to the method of conscious breathing, when we breathe in and out, we stop thinking because in and out is not thinking. In and out are only words to help us concentrate on our breathing.
–We must be very careful to protect our peace.
Guard our mind and heart with all diligence for out of it flows the wellspring of life.
–True affluence is not needing anything.
My riches consist not in the extent of my possessions but in the fewness of my wants.
–Love is an act of endless forgiveness.
Remember what you resist persists.
–A generous heart is a happy heart. Releasing – letting go, frees you up from being stuck.
Consider we are always swimming in abundance and worrying keeps us from experiencing it.
–Start to access the universal circuitry by affirming the best that you can be by placing your attention on it.
If you could have any attitude you want, what would you choose? You really can choose your attitude, and it does create your experience of life. Why not choose an attitude that has you enjoying life. Remember whatever attitude you choose will be empowered.
–Look for what you are grateful for now. Being grateful always shifts your attention to what you have already been given.
Remember, thoughts can be hand picked! Your life is a picture of your thoughts, speech, belief, actions, and attitudes.
–When you are no longer able to change a situation, you are challenged to change yourself.
Everything can be taken from you but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose your attitude in any given set of circumstances.
–You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.
Love nothing but that which comes to you woven in the pattern of your destiny. For what could more aptly fit your needs?
–The soul becomes dyed with the color of its thoughts.
Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking.
–If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.
